We have eaten at the Three Horseshoes for years however we will not be returning. On our last visit for Sunday lunch with a party of 12 it was quite simply the worse customer service I have ever encountered. The staff have become sullen, unmotivated and actually quite rude. The food was so poor that five out of our party of twelve, couldn't eat it- - the pork and beef were more like something out of a microwave meal, thinly sliced, fatty and processed, and the vegetables overcooked and tasteless. When the starters were brought out, one was missing so we chased this. Then when the mains arrived they had completely forgotten my husband's. By the time this arrived everyone else had finished their meal, and his chips were cold so we had to send those back causing more delays. The new till system for taking orders didn't seem to be working, whether that is poor training I am not sure. We had to give our order twice, which seemed to take the lady forever to input, and caused lots of confusion. Finally at the end when we got our bill it contained another party's order so I had to spend quite some time explaining what we had and hadn't eaten so it could be removed. At no time did we receive an apology for the poor service, forgetting meals, poor quality food, the delays or the errors with the till. We were extremely disappointed and embarrassed to have taken family there, all of whom said it was the worse pub meal they have endured for quite some time. Three Horseshoes, you have lost a loyal customer

We have just been to the the three horseshoes on wakefield road woodlesford. it used to be a very good place to eat, but, unfortunately standards have been slipping for some time now, but this evening was a complete disaster the food was shite, the service was shite, the manager was a little piece of shit, refusing to refund me the cost of just my meal.
which i had sent back to the kitchen because it was not what i ordered or up to standard. The piece of shit that is the manager tried talking me down, if the kids had not been with us i would have kicked off, i would like to recommend that this pub restaurant and its blind chef be blacklisted. apparently customer service and satisfaction no longer applies at the three horseshoes.

Largish L shaped pub of a traditional nature with swirly carpets and horse brasses. Uninspiring ales on offer John Smiths, Tetleys, and the reduced strength (4.5%) Old Speckled Hen from Greene King. Tetleys was a decent enough pint, the pumpclips the traditional Tetley huntsmans. The pub seems to have been in the same hands for years, which is not a bad thing these days. Food decent enough pub grub, surf n turf 9.95 for a tender steak and scampi. Didnt fancy the "rock"- a gimmick- a hot rock on a plate where you cook a steak to your liking, costs more and stinks the pub out. Don't we pay for it to be cooked by a qualified chef?

Food better than average and good sized portions. Good Speckled Hen. The restaurant fills up quickly but diners don't seem to stay after their meal to have a drink and relax. When we finished the place was nearly empty.
The staff were hardly welcoming and not as polite as they should be. We were a party of 15 and when we ordered they required a credit card to be handed in, no real reason given so its hand it in or don't eat.
I think this pub is getting it wrong, it has been very popular but possibly its becoming complacent and forgetting that to get repeat custom it has to maintain high customer satisfaction.

Absolute rubbish ,disgusting stodge served by clueless waitresses , only made worse by the ignorant bar staff especially the landlord who needs retiring in more ways than one.

Staff are extremely slow. I almost fell asleep watching a waitress wiping a table. Waitress dumped our food on the table, when asked for condiments, just walked away came back wih some but when reminded about mayo, was very surly and said just getting. No smile, no customer service. Had a round of 4 drinks and had to order one by one - bar staff could not remember more than one drink at anyone time.

This has its own place in the market. If you are over 50 and enjoy coach trips, you will think you have died and gone to heavon. More of an eating place than a pub. Big portions of food, but not very nice or presented with much care.
Good if you have an elderly realative that remebers the war or the darby & jone is shut...

Terrible meal from start to finish. It started with a frozen garlic bread which was followed by garlic bread which could crack pavements. (This was served with no napkins or cutlery??) oh and no smile. We then ordered 2 steaks (15) these looked like they had been thrown onto the plate very very chewey.DO NOT GO RUBBISH.COUL GO ON ALL NIGHT.

Not a bad place, the food is a bit hit and miss, though at times it is exceptional. There is a pretty varied menu, but, depending upon how many people are there, the quality can go to nothing. My girlfriend last go spicy mexican sweet and sour pork, which was actually uncle ben's sweet and sour sauce - including the pineapples - not spicy at all. I asked if I could have one of their combos, but with sirloin steak and barnsley chop, instead of the steak and chicken breast. I paid 3 extra for the chop, but got a single shrivelled up chop, that tasted like beef jerky. Absolute garbage.
Also, keep an eye out for the guy who is about 20, massive glasses, is ignorant, has a pot belly, and is the son of the pubs owner - horrible fool!! He doesn't say please or thank you.
It was good, but due to it's popularity it has gone a bit downhill.
