Absolute rubbish ,disgusting stodge served by clueless waitresses , only made worse by the ignorant bar staff especially the landlord who needs retiring in more ways than one.

Staff are extremely slow. I almost fell asleep watching a waitress wiping a table. Waitress dumped our food on the table, when asked for condiments, just walked away came back wih some but when reminded about mayo, was very surly and said just getting. No smile, no customer service. Had a round of 4 drinks and had to order one by one - bar staff could not remember more than one drink at anyone time.

This has its own place in the market. If you are over 50 and enjoy coach trips, you will think you have died and gone to heavon. More of an eating place than a pub. Big portions of food, but not very nice or presented with much care.
Good if you have an elderly realative that remebers the war or the darby & jone is shut...

Terrible meal from start to finish. It started with a frozen garlic bread which was followed by garlic bread which could crack pavements. (This was served with no napkins or cutlery??) oh and no smile. We then ordered 2 steaks (£15) these looked like they had been thrown onto the plate very very chewey.DO NOT GO RUBBISH.COUL GO ON ALL NIGHT.

Not a bad place, the food is a bit hit and miss, though at times it is exceptional. There is a pretty varied menu, but, depending upon how many people are there, the quality can go to nothing. My girlfriend last go spicy mexican sweet and sour pork, which was actually uncle ben's sweet and sour sauce - including the pineapples - not spicy at all. I asked if I could have one of their combos, but with sirloin steak and barnsley chop, instead of the steak and chicken breast. I paid £3 extra for the chop, but got a single shrivelled up chop, that tasted like beef jerky. Absolute garbage.
Also, keep an eye out for the guy who is about 20, massive glasses, is ignorant, has a pot belly, and is the son of the pubs owner - horrible fool!! He doesn't say please or thank you.
It was good, but due to it's popularity it has gone a bit downhill.
