This pub is now called HARRY'S.
It is open, but when I visited last night it was closed for a private party.

As far as a I know this pub is OPEN for business, it was closed a while ago while they were painting it up, looks very nice.

Real shame to see another good one going Top quality ale well kept once again a village pub going down the pan due to locals not supporting it
300 new homes and not one new punter
Looks like its going to be converted in to a B&B a real shame

Unfortunately the D&P lease is up for sale ( 30 year free of tie lease ) which is a real shame as Lea & Ken have made it into a really welcoming pub with fantastic quality and range of ales.
ENJOY THIS LOCAL GEM WHILST IT'S STILL THERE, YOU'LL MISS IT WHEN IT'S GONE...!!!!

Fantastic addition to the lager selection, Steigl from Austria 4.9% perfect for a sunny day.

Spent an enjoyable hour in the Dog on Sunday, Tring "By George" and Tribute both in fine form, and a pint of "Village Idiot" or "Bob" as it's affectionately known locally.

Popped in with my Labrador halfway through a long Sunday afternoon stroll along the nearby canal - a warm welcome for both of us (including a complimentary treat for my mutt) and a cracking pint of Tribute. I hope to make a habit of visiting the Dog and Partridge.
