Small old fashioned pub opposite the station. some great pictures of old Derby footballers like Steve Bloomer , Raich Carter and Leon Leuty. Good pint, and worth a visit unlike the pub next door

Other than matchdays a very local orientated pub. Handy if you fancy a pint between trains I guess.

Oh it's alright, good for reading your newspaper in.

Not quite the worst of the pubs near Derby station (see the Waterfall for that honour) but put to shame by some of the nearby (within 300yds) competition. One unremarkable real ale is better than nothing but really doesn't cut it in the proximity of the Brunswick et al. Extremely busy on DCFC match-days.

Real Ale switches between Pedi and Speckled Hen.
Small 'locals' boozer but ok for a quick pint near the station.
Fairly unremarkable pub

Not the most welcoming pub, but it does still have real ale. The Brunswick is worth the extra 100m walk though.

“I’ve sold a lot of this today” says the barman as he pulls me an Old Speckled Hen. “That’s probably because it’s the only proper beer you’ve got on”, I thought. Decent enough quality though and in a nice friendly atmosphere. Despite the fact that it is directly opposite the train station, and probably the closest pub, it doesn’t have that anonymous rather depressing station bar feel that some others have. A big Derby County FC pub judging by the memorabilia.
