Decent enough pub that has manged to keep prices reasonable,£2.70 for a London Pride or Doombar.(the Nelson in Wood green ,take note). They also have a Monday club where certain pints are even cheaper (£2).It can be done.

Been coming here on the (very) odd occasion for many years.Get the feeling after the dreadful homogenisation and excessive price hike at the Springfield that I'll be coming here a lot more often.Only 1 ale on but it is a well kept pint of Courage Best at the mega cheap price of £1-95 a pint.It is a very traditional working mans pub with a dartboard and a pool table,as well as racing on the TV.Sadly they got rid of Sky Sports but with the ludicrous prices Sky charge pubs I can't criticise the owners for this.Staff always seem nice and the regulars seem ok,if maybe a bit rough around the edges in some cases.I was also impressed they had free wi-fi.

Not a bad pub, and the quiz on a Sunday evening is a good un,if thats what your into.
Proabbaly my second favourite pub in the area(number 1 being The Springfield park tavern..Home sweet home :) )
Guinness is well kept and not too taxing on the wages(compared with some places i could mention). havn't eaten in here so i wont comment on the food(it is a pub after all, not a cafe). One thing i have noticed isa that there is a good mix of youngsters and older folk, and they seem to get on well enough, which is a very good thing.
Decent friendly barstaff and manager.
A good pub with a apprecitive bunch of locals

I remember this one when it was a plumbing shop. Very disappointed when it turned into a pub but I got over it. I mean, why did we need another pub around here! Haven't times changed!
Great staff who have for the most part been working there for several years and know how to do the job. In the last few weeks the relief manager has been better than most perminate landlords of other pubs. As for landlord of this pub, the Occasional Half, he is definitely OK. Usually one real ale on, sometimes two, and mostly well kept, with no problem in taking back a dodgy pint. I find this a friendly pub that is welcoming and receptive to all. Easy disabled access with a disabled toilet that is clean, although the standard toilets need a bit of a makeover, and I am told that the womens side is a total load of whatever. On this basis I have to mark them down more than I would like to.

Good pub. Usually not too crowded except when the dreaded karaoke is on. The real ale is often OK and it rings the changes from time to time. The bog standard ale is Bombardier.

also well done to the staff for their no nonsense approach to the same people. and the celebrations of the lewis hamilton victory

was in today and my congratulations to the staff especially the way they handled the people from Glasgow fully deserved lads well done to all

This is a Barracuda chain pub complete with Sky and Setanta shown on a multitude of plasma screens and a pool table. There are a couple of hand pumps and Bombardier was available on my visit with the other pump not being used. There is also a standard draught selection available at very reasonable prices as is to be expected in a Barracuda owned pub.

I didnt spot this manager talked about previously, but I didnt find the crowd to be the nicest lot in the world.

I dont think that Ill be returning here in a hurry.

Not a bad pub but not really my scene

This place is busier at the weekends but they've noticeably lost many of the previous regulars. I'm no shrinking violet but some of the new regulars are a bit loud and lary and swagger around as if they own it. There's more of a thuggish air to it which is a shame. The stench of ammonia from the men's loos is rank - and the "ladies" should be re-named! Hopefully it will improve..... Bar staff are really nice.

I agree with you London 28 regarding the landlord. He greeted us at the door last Saturday evening, chatted with a few guys outside, came in, stood drinking at the bar on his own and when it got busy, he buggered off upstairs and left the barmaid completely on her own. It was really busy but hats off to her, she was a little gem working so hard to clear the tables once she'd served all the guys standing round the bar. it's a lot busier these days but I don't reckon it's down to the guvnor's poeple skills by any means.

Sadly the lovely landlady has gone to pastures new in Edmonton. Even more sadly the bloke from the Faltering Fallback has taken over. I can't be bothered to go into it but the other night he was a complete arrogant bastard. There was hardly anyone in there so news of his people's skills have obviously spread. Watch this place go under now!

Like it in here Been going in on and off for the past three months. Friendly staff and the beer is cheap! Got a pool table too which is a bonus and plenty of TV's to watch the sport on. A locals pub and is welcome to the occasional visitor!

Great little pub, never really used to go in there, but have been frequenting quiet alot in the last year or so. Very freindly staff and the mix of punters, strangly works well and creates a good atmosphere.

You have to worry about the future of this place with no real smoking area.
