Been closed for years and has been converted into a characterless cafe bar .
Walked in walked out.

0/10 (for the new place)

Now re-opened as a "licensed cafe bar" called ROUTE 2. Haven't tried it but they still claim to do Doom Bar.

Sign outside says it is closed for refurbishment.
Also noticed the salutation is looking for a new owner.

Popped in here on the way to check out the Bridge - very impressed. Probably the friendliest pub I've been in for ages.

I've got a horrible feeling they're about to be bought out though. I dread to think what the new owners are going to do to this gem.

Popped in Saturday afternoon for short time. Wadworths 6X was pretty good. Bass was available too. The pub was practically empty but was welcoming, with nice wooden interior.

A big sign on the outside wall indicates that this pub is for sale, so who knows how long it will last.

Agree with previous comments. This is a fine old-fashioned pub and the old guy who served us was welcoming and helpful. Well-priced beers in good order.

Run of the mill boozer by my reckoning. Nothing wrong in that of course, but didn't strike me as anything special.

Good old fashioned boozer. No frills, but beer good, and food not bad either. Popped in there on my Stag night, and landlord bought me a brandy, so must be a good place!

A real Pub in the Old Style.
Beer is good, Breakfast is as well. Ambience,Great.
In other words, a Typical Old Fashioned Pub in the true sense of the word.
