Amongst the best pubs in East Dorset. A warm, friendly, traditional hostelry with a welcoming open fire and cosy surrondings ,and small secluded garden opposite Wimborne Cricket Ground. Real ales, varied food menu. Breakfasts on sat and sun mornings. Curry nights on wed . Free pool on thursdays 5-11 also lunch times during week.happy hour monday 2 thursdays 5-7 £2.00 a pint £2.00 glass of wine.

The last reviewer must have been unlucky as I have always enjoyed a nice pint of Ringwood here - it is great to find a decent pub in Wimborne that isn't tied to Badger.
It does get very busy, especially when a big sporting event is on, as already mentioned, and also on Friday and Saturday nights.
I don't know if it has changed hands recently but I called in at a lunchtime recently and was told they have stopped doing food.

Proberbly the worst pint ever, nice staff but terrible pint and pub filthy.

I really enjoy this pub when it's not too busy. It becomes busy when there's a game on that everyone wants to see and becomes totally crammed on friday and saturday nights.
The beer is good and the food is usually quite good too.

Very good pub, friendly staff, decent kept beer and a pleasant atmosphere.Oh how we could do with a few pubs like this in among the bland chain houses of Bournemouth

Its always the first place we go to start a pub crawl.....Big mistake!
Once sat down in the comfy seats or beautiful rocking chair its impossible to leave. And to top it off its got some of the best ales around.

I remember going in here last time the West Indies were touring but would they turn the TV over to watch the test match. How stupid of me to think that they would do such a thing in a pub of this name. Didn't stay for long needless to say
