lovely open fires, uncomfortable sofas though... difficult to get served as the bar staff were more concerned with chatting amongst themselves or to the regulars. Didn't feel particularly welcome to be honest. Beer quality was excellent though I have to say that, but unless you know the bar staff you'll probably be waiting for some time for a drink.

Not a bad little pub in the centre of Wimborne. The interior is fairly comfortable, with an L-shaped bar and a couple of little nooks and crannies, including a small games room and a secluded table in one corner. The pool table is at the opposite end of the pub. Beers were fairly mainstream - St Austell Tribute, Ringwood Best & Caledonian Flying Scotsman. Service was pleasant.

staggering level of inadequacy and incompetence. I have run many businesses and I know how to handle customer service. This evening I was playing pool with my sons follwing some football on the big screen. The young 'lady' behind the bar essentially made us so unwelcome that we had to leave, despite the fact that we were the only people in the bar playing pool and paying for drinks and snacks. There were two other individuals at the bar with a laptop open who were not paying for drinks. The young 'lady' switched off the television despite my protests, asked us to leave despite the fact that it was 20:45 and the two individuals at the bar were laughing. It was clear they were close acquantances. incredible how businesses can let their reputations and futures rely on such individuals Not one for a visit

The last reviewer must have been unlucky as I have always enjoyed a nice pint of Ringwood here - it is great to find a decent pub in Wimborne that isn't tied to Badger. It does get very busy, especially when a big sporting event is on, as already mentioned, and also on Friday and Saturday nights. I don't know if it has changed hands recently but I called in at a lunchtime recently and was told they have stopped doing food.

Proberbly the worst pint ever, nice staff but terrible pint and pub filthy.

I really enjoy this pub when it's not too busy. It becomes busy when there's a game on that everyone wants to see and becomes totally crammed on friday and saturday nights. The beer is good and the food is usually quite good too.

Its always the first place we go to start a pub crawl.....Big mistake! Once sat down in the comfy seats or beautiful rocking chair its impossible to leave. And to top it off its got some of the best ales around.

I remember going in here last time the West Indies were touring but would they turn the TV over to watch the test match. How stupid of me to think that they would do such a thing in a pub of this name. Didn't stay for long needless to say
