Recently changed hands, lots of people swearing, not impressed kids everywhere. No food on.

pub had just reopend and no food on but the beers were ok and reasonably priced

No MILD, so a Banks's bitter, despite being a shock presence, was fine as it was a safe drink. We didnt eat, but everything looked fine and the portions seemed a decent size from what others ordered.
Overall I thought the pub was decent and the bar staff were very friendly.

If you like rough pubs a scruffy interior with lots of bad language floating about try this place-some people do.Otherwise give it a miss

I was here yesterday on my Filey trip down memory lane and I wanted a decent meal but decided against it due to the menu being a bit turdy.

If I am not mistaken, this was the pub where a few years ago there was a News of the World-esque love triangle and the landlord got murdered - The pub is not actually that bad so don't let it put you off!
