Wonderful pub. Staff friendly and efficient. Check out the beer garden in the summer - beautiful. Definitely recommended.

THIS IS THE BEST PUB IN HAMPSHIRE,BEER GREAT COMPANY BEST IN ENGLAND LANDLORD HAMMERS MAN BUT APPART FROM THAT BEST YOUL MEET AND AS FOR DI GORGEOUS BUT KEEP IN GOOD BOOKS OR GOD HELP YOU. I HAVE NOT BEEN IN THE ABBEY FOR SOME TIME BUT THERE WAS A TIME IT WAS MORE LIKE HOME.HOPE TO VISIT SOON.

Stayed here last week. Great pub and very friendly owners. Rooms are clean and tidy. Food is good. Beer is fine. Definitely worth a visit. The greyhonds are nice too!!!

Stayed in this pub for several months back in 2001. Have visited several times since - excellent Best and Directors. Very good food and reasonably priced accommodation. Would thorougly recommend it as landlord/landlady extremely friendly. Function room available and popular with local community.

Without a doubt the best pub in romsey...no jukebox, no television, first class Directors and Courage best The Staff will talk to you instead of grunting and there is an open fire in the winter Good food at reasonable prices in a seperate area. Personally I dont use any other pub in the town.....

Average pub, just a short stroll from some much more interesting ones. Ample seating and function room for hire.
