As in the post by Valtojos two years ago this is a very good real ale pub.
3 pumps serving Hoppy Poppy & Hampshire Rose
I went for a pint of the other one Wetergate Suffolk County and very nice it was too @ 2.80 a pint

Certainly the best real ale pub in town. Now under new ownership. Prices are low.
The toilets in the beirut bar are still a must see.Dont forget to shower before you leave them.
Good early evening atmosphere. Great place to take the mother in law if you intend to shock.

Still has good juke box (probably only the Rose Tavern has a better one in town), but this pub lost my regular Friday night custom when they ditched the pool table.

The quality of the beer can sometimes suffer due to the lack of customers and you always feel that you have had one "out the pipe" even though it could be early evening.

Has lost some of its character as it has lost some of its characters, but I still have a soft spto for this boozer and hoe that business picks up soon.

not a bad little pub, even if it could do with a bit of a clean up !

Best duke box in town, nice ambiance if not too busy

An OK pub, frequented by down-to-earth locals. Not much in the way of beer to choose from, and the landlord turns up the jukebox to 'Wayne's World' levels when a rock classic comes on.

Not bad. But not a place you'd take your missus on the anniversary.
