has anyone maybe reported the barman to the old bill? maybe that would be better than the brewery

Have tried to report him, but no one wants to know.

Its in the middle of nowhere so you need a car to get there it has lovely views of the country all around and the Canary Whalf is visible which is about 10 miles way. Used to a favorite haunt of mine but the last years it has become a place where builders/tradesmen met up to discuss business. Check the carpark for the new BMW's there is lots of money about. I've never seen drugs dealt when I was there but if the barman is selling drugs he should be reported to the brewery.

If you are into drugs and attempted rape, go to this poor excuse of a pub. There's an illegal activity around every corner.
|
If you are into drugs then its ideal, the strange looking barman supplies it to all his friends.

This pub is like something out of "Shameless". I don't recommend it at all. Resturant?? There is no resturant! I don't understand that at all. The two reviews pointing out the pubs flaws are correct and the review be the person who cannot spell and obviously works there need to take note and turn the negatives into positives.

I used to visit this pub many years ago, and since I visited recently I am very disappointed to see how this very nice and traditional pub has gone somewhat downhill. The beer, though reasonably priced, was warm- and when I questioned the barman about it I felt as though he could not care less as I got no apology; more of a sneer. The decor is dated although has quite a homely feel about it- but the atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired. Most of the conversations I overhead by the few punters were revolved around drugs, of which there was no shortage... The restaurant area is appealing, I havent had a meal there for a few years but I would be willing to give it a go! All in all, I would say that The White Hart is more of a hiding hole for (posssibly) underage drinkers than somewhere to go with the family.

Avoid.
The waitressing staff don't recognise the difference between squash and orange juice. If you dare ask them to correct it or indeed voice displeasure at anything else they tell the landlady that you're being problematic who then gets arsey and comes and leans over you.
Prices for starters and the like aren't shown on the menu or in fact anywhere (besides which, what they charge for the main course you could go get 3 courses for in most other places) and the prawn cocktail is made up of 90% frozen seafood sticks. Both waitresses were appearing at our table asking if we were done and trying to hurry us up when they stop serving food about 2 hours after we got there, when we clearly weren't as one of us still had a mostly full plate.
The toilets have cobwebs, no hand drier, broken locks cracked basins and this was just the ladies.
One of those pubs where the place stops and everyone stares at you when you walk in. Very much a local pub for local people type clique.
The landlady refuses to adknowledge anything is wrong with their customer service and is like talking to a brick wall - seems to be using Peggy Mitchell as her role model and the waitressing staff seem to have attended the McDonalds school of customer service.
So, if your passing and think it looks like a good place to stop for something to eat, carry on up the road and go to the chain pub.

very rural pub, offers welcoming staff and friendly locals. This pub has very nice looking resturant, nice food which is cooked deliciously. The pub invites adults of all ages and will always make you feel asif you are a local. The staff just do there job.The pub offers variety of entertainment including a karioki night every saturday, snooker table, games machenes etc. The new owners have turned this from a good pub to an exelent one. The person that has written the totally wronge review on this pub needs to take a careful look at how verey well presented this pub is.

Have been popping to this one longer than i can remember, food is always good, very family orientated with the resturant area in the back. not been for a while so cant comment much on the beer prices but wasnt a bank nreaker last time i went. out in the sticks so having a designated driver is pretty much essential. the police do like to hang around nearby and stop cars.

right out of the way up a country lane , very difficult to get to without own transport and the police are very hot on drink driving and target this pub a fair bit so be warned , but about the pub itself fairly small but clean well turned out pub with a restuant type thing at the back does the best sunday roast for miles around hence why usually packed on a sunday lunchtime , a limited range of beers but all taste right well worth a visit if passing
