The Top House, Aveley

Now under new management, Laura, Lynn and Wayne welcome you to this friendly little pub in Aveley. There is live music Friday nights and a DJ on Saturdays. Bar nibbles are often put out plus roast potatoes on a Sunday. The pub boasts a brand new pool table and the pub pool team play on a Tuesday night. Laura also runs killer pool comps. There are two screens that show the footie. There are two car parks, one either side of the pub or bus route 372 stops right outside the pub. With friendly bar staff the Top House is a very friendly establishment.

The Marlborough Arms, Romford

The Marlborough was my pool teams pub and Mick the Gov'nor was part of the team. But sadly last March it closed down as the owner sold it to - yeah, you guessed it another blasted Tesco's. However, there was a silver lining because Mick took over the Bell & Gate not far away near Collier Row and is a far better pub.

The White Hart, Hornchurch

I used to like this pub years ago,the only problem was that you couldn't get there by public transport you had to use a car. Must admit though I hadn't been in there for a few years and eventually it closed down. It is now a private dwelling.
