Sat out the front on Saturday and had a couple of pints, lovely. Unfortunately it was not so nice on Sunday when there was a cricket match; I imagine sitting there watching the game would be tres relaxing.

I have been visiting this pub for the last twenty years and the latest incarnation with Ted and Debbie at the helm is by far the best. Always friendly and accommodating. Great food and drink served in a cosy atmosphere. Long may it continue!

We visit this great pub often, and always receive a warm welcome from the friendly staff. The village green setting is very atmospheric and many a time has been spent in the gardens in the summer enjoying the fine selection of beers and high quality food. The pub has a reputation for great food and wine in the restaurant, and is also a cosy retreat in the winter, hogging the fire with a drink in hand.

Been here a few times since moving to the village, the pub is well known for its food. The garden is really well done.

Asked Debbie the landlady if I could leave a tankard behind the bar, she said that was fine, so I was happy (I am easily satisfied).

Three real ales on, most recently Greene King IPA, Spitfire and one other (Abbot Ale perhaps?).

I will be going there for my birthday meal this weekend.

On our visit the wait for food was awfull over an hour ,we dont mind waiting if you know there is a wait but not to be told and then the food comes out cold,we found it not good enough.

I have to say that I am not in agreement with many of those who have commented on this pub. I have found the atmosphere incredibly welcoming every time I have been there; the staff are attentive, welcoming and well presented. When it comes to space - the restaurant has recently been extended into the barn providing much needed extra seating in a very tastefully decorated, spacious area. The food is of superb quality and whilst the prices seem slightly dear to begin with, it becomes evident upon the arrival of the food that it is worth every penny. I would recommend this to anyone and would also advise booking, especially on a Friday and Saturday night as I have known it to be very busy on occasion.

This is a great pub. It has recently been taken over by the owners of the other village pub. The staff are extremely wwelcoming and attentive. The food was delicious. It is great to see the high standards back again after a few shakey years! Well done!
