Looks like the place has become part of 'Harpers Nightclub'

Talk is cheap and listening is priceless. Despite the best attempts of 2 women I was not persuaded to have a "private dance" at 20 a go. Yes my dear BITE readers, this place is certainly a strip joint "The Lions Den", though the women were mere pussycats given how empty the place was and the lack of "trade". Other than myself, there was one other bloke present around 9.30ish last night (22 May), we were easily outnumbered by the women and the staff.

It is fairly dark in here and there are 2 large conspicuous lion sculptures that are surrounded by numerous brown sofas. There is a pole on a stage towards the back of the place for the women to strip, with a large curtain just after the bar on the left where the private dances take place behind (I was told). No Magners sold here, so I sensibly opted for a coke which set me back 2.20! I say sensibly, as a bottle of Becks was 4.20.

I was enticed in out of curiosity by the free entry and carefree bouncers when walking from the station. The 2 gorgeous women who spoke to me were friendly enough without hassling me while drinking. If you enjoy talking to scantily dressed reasonably fit women while having relatively expensive drinks with the option of a 20 "private dance" (or 5 dances for the price of 4!), then this is the place for you! As for me and the H-File search, as I told one of the women, "Sorry love, I'm a bit more hardcore than a 20 danceseen it all before!"

Now a sleazy ...ahem..."Gentlemans Club".

The powers that be in Guildford disapproved of the whole Casino plan, but evidently they are fine with this kind of thing.

Classy - huh?

Apparently this is now a strip club with a full nudity license, they msut be joking go to stringfellows instead this place is a tacky dump

After paying extortionate amounts to get in,all i wanted was a bottle of water. ..and was told "Dont have it love,VKs are on offer" .. .not bothering again.

This place thinks it is in sleezy Las vegas with over the top tacky chandeliers and red curtains,
very very expensive and not much to offer, as it is nearly always empty, cant see why???
Could be good but they dont seem to know what their customers want! Very poor and extremely bad value for money.....shame

Another awful place on this corner of town rip off prices.

Stongly advise you take out a second mortgage before coming here. Drinks are tres expensivo! If you can save a few pennies at the end of the night theres always Subway opposite. Little atmosphere inside. May be better to exploit the new licensing laws elseware.

Went here last Fri. No surprises really. Chavs on the dancefloor, charly in the bogs (allegedly). Over-priced drinks sloppily served, unorganised, tacky would be the word. Pi$$poor - avoid it and find somewhere better the other end of town
matty1982 - 26 Nov 2005 11:26
Overpriced- and again no character or any form of personality from either the bar staff (most of whom are bored- as people avoid buying drinks in there)...or the atmosphere

Rubbish place- dont go

age policy has now changed to over 18 to coincide with the attached venue 'the Drink'.
music policy for the voodoo lounge is 70's 80's 90's 00's. still quite expensive to get in and drinks a bit pricey but none the less a good venue with friendly staff and an invisible dj. (although you can hear him!)

Bar Mambo has been renamed the Voodoo Lounge and now hasan over-25s policy on weekends. During the week it is over-21s
Will2 - 17 Dec 2004 18:17
TV star Bruce Forsyth is said to make regular weekend trips here in an attempt to pull. That may either put you off dramatically or turn you on. Just think what could happen if you play your cards right tonight
aleman - 23 Sep 2004 10:59
Only point in going here is to pull
