The Eagle and Child, Bispham Green

Very expensive food but very good beer. Avoid the annual beer festival the place is overrun with small children, I can't imagine why anybody would think it is a good idea to take toddlers to a beer festival but there are more rugrats thatn beer varieties. It also gets way to busy nowdays..

Proper old fashioned pub, only drawback is the ladndords tendancy to swap his Allgates ales ( I dislike his pale ones but the Stouts & Porters are brilliant )
for other breweries offerings some of which are second rate .
Ian more variety please !

Hare and Hounds, Wigan

Small but now serves at least 4 good cask ales kept in tip top condition.
