The Dolphin, Dartmouth

We headed straight for the restaurant upstairs where we had a lovely Sunday lunch. A starter for two of fresh mussels in a wine and cream sauce, followed by generous portions of roast lamb and roast beef with a full range of fresh vegetables. The Sunday lunch menu was a little limited in choice, but nevertheless it was great value for money. In my opinion the restaurant food served here is better, or at least as good as, that served at the Cherub or the New Angel. Pleased to recommend for a Sunday lunch.

The Golden Galleon, Exceat

Some of the worst pub food I have ever had put before me. I ordered a burger which took nearly 50 minutes to be served. When it arrived it was burnt to a crust and the accompanying chips were cold. My partner had the beef curry which consisted of large lumps of fat with very little lean meat. The kitchen is a disaster waiting to happen, and I could not recommend this establishment for eating in.
