The Gable, Moorgate

I visited the gable on a Friday evening when the bar had just opened.

The surroundings are comfortable (especially the leather sofas!) the decor if pleasent and modern without being overbearing.

There's a wide range of lagers and beers which was absolutely ideal, and despite being in the city it was reasonably priced. In contrst for a more relaxed and sophisticated experience the cellar wine bar is also excellent, although not a wine buff myself my partner was impressed with the range of wine on offer.

Another bonus for the gable, is an excellent range of bar food, which was again a reasonable price. I found it to be very good value, well presented and we were look after by our waiting staff (Tony)who was extremly personable throughout our experience.

Overall if your looking for a pint and some grub in the city or a relaxing wine bar experience, you can't go wrong on either front.
