The Trafalgar Arms, Tooting

The Trafalgar was once by far the best pub in Tooting, a buzzing atmosphere, warm, friendly people and some actual stabs art culture: art on the walls, magazines (gay & straight) and games. Not to mention the great food! I went there last week and I can honestly say I have never seen a venue change for the worst in such a short space of time. The art has gone, the mixed happy crowd has given way to the standard rough docker-types you can find in any other Tooting venue and the charm seems to have gone. If I had the money, I would buy this pub and pay double for the old management to come back. The only good thing now is the irish barman, who is excellent, but this place now has all the appeal of a working mens pub. A real, real tragedy.

Sorry if this all sounds a bit snobbish but ,hey, it probably is!
