The Cross Guns, Avoncliff

I would agree with some of the other reviews. This could be a wonderful pub, location and setting are wonderful. There is a but... the service was not existent & surly. The bar stank of dogs & stale beer (Noticed there were 3 dogs in the back) It was all a bit of a disappointment. To top it all, when were were there on a Friday - there was a large group of lads from a stag do, shouting and swearing. Its such a shame - you get the impression that the landlord dosent need to try because of the stunning location. Afraid we now dont go in when walking in the area now.
