The Blacksmiths Arms, St Albans
Went to the Blacksmiths a few times over Christmas and New Year, the beer was consistently good & reasonably priced. Service was both efficient and friendly. Had lunch in there on one occasion, food was excellent (a great pie & pint deal - with a proper home baked pie !). No hesitation in recommending this pub to any of my friends & colleagues.
