Good luck vicky, its great to see the church's doors open again and doing a brisk trade. Contrary to other posters I wouldn't blame Lee entirely for the pubs previous demise, ok he alienated a few customers but he had a vision and got absolutely no backing from Enterprise (the
pub co.) whatsoever, unfortunately this is indicative of the pub trade today and pub co's massively negative attitude towards pubs and communities, as long as there's a beer order coming in to them every week they couldn't give two sh*ts about anything else, lets hope vicky makes a go of it!

The Nags Head, High Wycombe

reverted back to a rock n'roll bar with some cracking ales on from the marlow brewery, i visited friends in wycombe and had a rocking night here a couple of weekends ago, what rock n'roll is all about! When the upstairs opens again this could be one of the best small venues in the country, expect some quality bands there before they hit the mainstream- a top bar!

The Lord Clifden, Birmingham

As a barman at the clifden i can categorically say that due to our high turnover and exceptionally high standards, especially the cask, we won't put ale on unless the lines are well cleaned and the ale is conditioned properly. I would take the 'Bathams Challenge' with any pub in the black country, indeed many of our customers, who travel miles to come to the clifden, say our Bathams is as good as it gets, we are proud of our quality beer, and it genuinely grieves us when people think we serve anything other than the best.

I apologise to Mr giant if the Bathams was off when he came in, come down this saturday or whenever you're passing and I guarantee you a tip top Bathams, or you're money back!!

A big thank you from the clifden to all our regulars and friends without whom, obviously, the pub wouldn't be the success that it is, rock on the cliffo!!!!!
