Navigation Inn and Warehouse Restaurant, Maesbury Marsh

Six of us arrived, admittedly unannounced, at about seven, one evening last week for liquid refreshment and food. The welcome was warm, the location interesting, the surroundings comfortable. The menu items looked imaginatively chosen as did the wine and beers. When the food arrived it was very good, but there was an inordinately long wait between the starter and main course (over 45 mins), with no apology or explanation, which severely marred an otherwise good experience.
