The Rambler Country House, Edale

Abysmal. Food order was wrong. Food was tasteless. Ordered sponge and custard and had to wait 20 mins for the custard, being offerd mustard instead by the numerous non English speaking staff. To add insult to injury we were thrown out when we were served a pint of flat cider and we had the audacity to complain. "Thats how it comes" was the remark of the Assistant Manager, despite having a perfectly decent pint of the same cider up at the Nags not an hour earlier!! Been going there for 20 yrs, won't be going again.

The Hurstbourne, Whitchurch

Good beer with Pride, Ringwood and a guest. Excellent food, great company and a lovely setting. B&B accommodation very acceptable.
