Excellent, IPA & abbot ale, both in top condition. 2 or 3 Guest Beers. Proper chef who cooks homemade dishes and knows his taste combinations, he is flexible and will cook to individual tastes. Tidy enclosed back garden with flower beds, benches and tables, and extensive cover for smokers. The private bar is of peaceful character and conversation is both intellectual and humorous. The public bar is noisy and humorous, with TV, and a 20,000 track duke box on which people play everything from jazz and blues, to techno and heavy rock. The clientele are eclectic, and get on ok with one another; the land lord and staff are all part of the scene. 31/3/2010
