The Chequers, Hutton

Great little local. Rustic regulars, interior could do with a face lift, but the ales are kept well. Greene King IPA and Bombardier are the regulars, but recently Adnams Explorer has made an appearance and the current guest beer seems to be the delectable St Austell Tribute. Not the sign of a pub that keeps dirty, vile beer. Didn't feel threatened at all the night I went in, very friendly staff, down to earth, no undercurrent of violence whatsoever, just locals enjoying banter and some nice beer. the previous reviewers obviously hold a grudge against this pub.
