The Crown, Salisbury

Dropped a car off at a friends place and they suggested we go for a pint in the crown as it was there local and they had a beer festival on, that was the start of a great couple of unplanned days.The pub is beautiful and in the middle of nowhere, I was made to feel very welcome by David and Linda and by the locals, inside the pub its like a mini maze, you can join in conversation at the bar or disappear into a quite nook or cranny, the garden is very large and tidy and the view is stunning as the sun sets, felt so chilled out decided to stay a couple nights as B+B is available there, the room i had was just what you need comfy bed and on suite bathroom, food is very good, beer is excellent, whilst i was there CAMRA visited (mini bus load) and presented David with a certificate. Only bad thing I have to say is that I had to leave to and join the rat race again, but i shall return.
