The Mad Bishop and Bear, Paddington

Decent place for a station boozer, good pint of Fuller's Discovery.
I'm going to go off tangent a bit here - does anyone else remember about 15-20 years ago before Paddington station was a plush as it is now, there was a ropey little boozer called - I think - The Kings & Queens, but I could be wrong. It was like walking into an episode of Minder or The Sweeney, it was wide but shallow (i.e when you walked in you were practically at the bar), dark, smoky and full of blokes who looked like down at heel Faces-era Rod Stewarts dressed in shabby suits with shiny arses and grubby collars, and they sold Younger's Tartan on tap (classy....) and dubious looking sausage rolls and Scotch eggs from a not-very-hygenic looking pyrex box on the bar. Great days, modern kids don't know they're born.......
