The Coach and Horses, Beckenham

Very expensive pub, the range of Ale was limited to Green King IPA and that sort of rubbish. However the staff were friendly and the place is well looked after. Somewhere to take the in-laws..probably. Night out with Beer afficionados, probably best to avoid. Watched sport in here and the locals were friendly which adds an extra point

The George, Beckenham

Popped in on a friday night bored of the standard Beckenham rubbish. Good service, prompt and with a smile. Knowledge of the beer on offer was good and I was offered a taster. Settled on a sussex bitter which I know well and it was very well looked after. A little loud on a friday but with a more discerning clientel than most Beckenham boozers. Sat in the garden with a friend and was able to enjoy a conversation with my ale
