The Nightingale, Balham

Great pub with a good range of beers for a Young's pub. Could maybe do with a touch up but this place has real charm. Food has got a lot better recently and great value.

Has to be one of the best boozers in Balham/ Clapham

The Hope, Wandsworth Common

Another M&B pub (one of 3,000) which offers a good range of beers but sadly never has enough staff working. Don't want to be too negative as they really do offer great beer but because it is a chain pub the consistency will never be maintained.

Worth a visit for the range of beers alone but be prepared to wait.

The Grove, Balham

Great Pub. Went for Sunday lunch after reading some reviews and was not disappointed. The beef was superb and possibly one of the best roasts I have had in a pub. Nice to see they are using free range and British produce which is unusual for a pub.

Staff were superb and the young lady was able to recommend wine and very keen to offer table service. Couldn�t get a seat in the dining room as they were busy so booking in advance is a good idea probably.

Very good example of a Young�s pub being run properly.
