The Chamberlain Hotel, Aldgate

A great place to meet after work. Spacious, lots of seats. Good choice of beer, fast service. Mostly for the middle aged, city workers, but nothing wrong with that. Food also excellent. Slightly pricey though.

The Black Lion, Kilburn

Beautiful decor. Great old spacious pub. Here they are bringing back ale on tap which is great. Great pub quiz on Tuesday nights. The food is also excellent. A real gem of a place.

The Peacock, Tower Hill

A horrible, horrible dark hole of a pub. Rude landlord. Staff not welcoming in the least. Pub all about the locals (male), darts, big beer bellies, and 100 % polyester shirts with sweat stains under the arms. Also beware playing music on their juke box. Place has made me seriously consider becoming a vegetarian, teetotaller before it is too late. An earthly equivalent of Dante's 3rd circle of hell. Good choice of beers though.
