The Waterfront Bar, Totland Bay

Great views from outside beer garden but beer choice very disapointing. Food choice limited but above average in quality even if a little on expensive side. All staff need to learn to smile occasionaly though. Will return but only for view on a summers evening which are the pubs main selling point.

The New Inn, Shalfleet

Excellent pub if you want food with your drink. If you do just want a drink I would have to agree with comments of others that space is limited as the pub
is obviously very popular for food and for good reason. We visited twice (22/7/2006 and 27/7/200) and both times beer, food and service was excellent. Will definitely return on our next trip to island.

The Chequers Inn, Rookley

Visited this pub about 3 years ago and thought it was a gem. Returned last week and what a disapointment. Pub had been extended and has lost all its charm; now looks and feels like any other chain pub. Agree with comments about the back room; all the atmosphere of a a works canteen. Walked straight back out again. One to miss unless you like chain pubs
