The Amato, Epsom

This is the best pub in Epsom! As a 'twenty-something' I've tried most of them and this pub gives you everything that you'd want from a friendly local. Friendly staff, Joe the chef does lovely food, and plenty of draught choice. Large garden is brilliant in summer and there are two fireplaces to keep toasty in the winter. I've never had a 'local' before now but this one is it. Also check out The Olde King's Head which is run by the same people.

The Salt House, Epsom

Good face lift of the previous Old Bank which was originally classy back in '99 but had turned into a dive.
However my friend had her bag stolen when in their wisdom the bouncers moved the chair on which it was sitting with out checking for an owner! They were extremely unbothered by this. She was extremely upset.
