Three Stags Head, Darley Bridge

I would just like to say that after visiting the pub on New Years day, which i must say was absolutly packed solid, i cannot agree with the comments from steve2905. There was a group of us with small children and we were made to feel very welcome, the staff that were on duty at the time couldnt help us enough, i have to say that considering that there were only 2 members of staff on ,both runing round like headless chickens to serve and look after a pub full of people, they both want a medal. The service was very acceptable and the food was lovely, yes we did have a little wait but it was explained that all the food was being freshly prepared and would take time.This we didnt mind at all, knowing that we where getting freshly prepared and cooked food.
Both members of staff where very polite, and had a smile to greet all that walked through the door,willing to help as much as they could. I just wanted to say a very well done to those who worked on New Years Day, and compliments to the landlord/landlady for finding excellent staff to support her in her running of the pub.If the service of that day was as good as that ,what kind of service would we get on a quieter day?? We will be returning at a later date.
