I'm a retired brewmaster (Heineken) and started working life as a navigation officer for Shell Tankers 5 years) followed by 6 years Royal Dutch Navy after which I switched to IT and brewing. I travel a lot, all over the world but like Britain best as my wife is from Manchester. I like British pubs of all sorts and generally love the food served. This site is fascinating and I shall certainly visit it frequently.

The Albion, Arnside
I've visited this pub 5 times in the last year, each time with different people and we have always been pleasantly surprised by the food and drink.
Service was excellent and friendly.
