The Red Lion, Avebury

A poorly organised, unwelcoming, exploitive pub. Ate here 15th May 2006 (unfortunately),table was sticky and dirty and the food was nothing speicial. Waited over half an hour just for the starter!.
At one point due to being totally unprepared, disorganised and understaffed, the kitchen was actually closed!
With such historical and geographical importance, this pub deserves to be treated and run, with passion, interest and more importantly, a feeling, for it's sacred surroundings.

The Sun Inn, Marlborough

stayed here May 2006 and totally agree with Tim Eyles comments, landlord is a keen guitarist and hosts some unique live guitar acts, (I even got to play his most prized guitar, dispite it being 9.30am in the morning)!This is a sensitively and passionately restored classic old inn with fine ales and a friendly welcome.

Richard John Blackler, Liverpool

Disgusting, stunk of sick, told by the bar staff that it was the beer pumps! (stayed on soft drinks)
Slow response from door staff when an annoying minesweeper was on the prowl.

Bar Staff not at all switched on.

Recommendation for anyone visiting Liverpool-don't bother with this one.
