The Barmy Arms, Twickenham

went here on Sunday for lunch, must have been the worst sunday lunch I have ever had, and it was 8.75! The gravy was thick and tasteless, the roasts were deepfried, the veg was almost raw, the meat (beef)was bought pre cooked/sliced and warmed up, the yorkshires were not homemade. I couldn't get a cup of tea or coffee as the machine was broken!!?? (obviously didn't know how to use a kettle). The staff weren't particularly helpful either.

The Barley Mow, Bedford

This pub used to be brilliant, unfortunately there have been numerous landlords/landladies since, all changing a bit here and there. It is now a typically male dominated, loud music bar. There is no atmosphere anymore - it used to be a traditional pub, with welcoming staff and you could have a good laugh. It has become a victim of the latest pub trend to destroy any character of the place and just play loud music and sell expensive beer, with no atmosphere whatsoever1
