The Arena Tavern, Letchworth

The worst 'pub' I've ever visited. Rated accordingly. Long and dingy.
First time to Letchworth to see a friend +we stopped in here on a weekend afternoon. One of our group was in a wheelchair +had no bathroom facilities. The landlady made us feel so very unwelcome +was hostile when we asked about accessibility needs.
I agree with the recent comments- if you don't know the staff they essentially stare at you until you leave. Seemed to be an injoke between the landlady +her foul-mouthed female staff members (they were c wording every other sentence which is fine if that's your bag but there was a child in the pub) +they were clearly laughing at us.
Cannot believe this place gets any business at all! Really felt uncomfortable.
NB- the pub is filthy. Seen cleaner festival toilets. One saving grace is that it appeared to be just drinks (I darent ask otherwise).
AVOID. There must be anywhere else someone could go!
