Half Moon Inn, Harrogate

Stopped for lunch which was overpriced and poor. Burger was frozen as was the soup. The roll that came with the soup was half a bread flattened with the palm of a hand and then toasted. Fish and chips was nothing special. Poor surly service too.

I was very disappointed considering there are 2 excellent butchers nearby. They should be offering fresh local produce which the area is famous for. Not frozen burgers!

This was last year and we said we wouldn't go back so hopefully they've improved since then.

The Bridge Inn, Pateley Bridge

Food is very good, locally sourced from some very good butchers. Had Steak and Ale pie last night and it was very good. Prices are fairly reasonable and they've now got Peroni lager on tap (as well as Stellar and I think Carling).

The only think stopping me giving them a full 10 was a long wait for the food which to be fair they do warn you about in the menu due to it being prepared fresh.

Service was excellent. Friendly atomosphere. If you find yourself camping, caravanining, b&b-ing in Pateley then I recommend you visit this pub.
