The Red Lion, Sturminster Marshall

We have visited the red Lion 3 times over the summer of 2011.
On all of these occasions we have found the staff to be friendly and welcoming.
We have had lovely meals each time we visited with the service being efficient and courteous. If the waiting staff were unable to answer our questions about the menu they were only too happy to find out the answer, a point which has been tested on each occasion as my husband has a gluten allergy and needs to check the contents of dishes. The menu also includes dishes especially adapted for people with coeliac disease, which is a refreshing change from other establishments where the chef cannot say what ingredients he has used, which speaks volumes!
The menu, including ever changing specials is varied and uses fresh ingredients, cooked well.
The ambiance is warm and inviting, the pubgoers a mixture of locals and visitors. Definately a return visit required in the near future
