The Thatch, Croyde

We visited this pub twice during our holiday in Croyde and loved it.
The food is brilliant, large portions & quick and friendly service. Will definately be back there on our next visit.

Dog and Duck, Outwood

Around 20 of us visited this pub on a Friday lunch time and called in advance to let them know. However, on arrival despite the pub being practically empty, it was obvious they could not cope with large groups.

Most people ordered burgers, sandwhiches, jackets etc so not difficult but it took around 45 minutes for the food to start appearing. The food was awful. The burgers were �10 a piece but were worse than something you would get at Wimpy!

I asked for a refund as my food was dreadful and we had to get back to the office so couldn't wait for anything else to be cooked, the staff were very rude and told me that they could not refund as the manager had gone out and left them for the day, they didn't even have the deceny to apologise.

I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy and definately will not be visiting it again myself.
