The Fayrewood, Verwood

The only "proper" pub still in Verwood all the others have long since turned into eateries with a bar.

Staff are all friendly and the landlord keeps his beer very well so you will not be getting a suspect pint.
The regulars are also friendly and this is the only pub my wife feels comfortable going into on her own as she will always be spoken to and made welcome.

Food is available lunch times during the week and is well presented at reasonable prices. Tastes good too. Pub not usually busy then so service nice and quick which is needed lunchtime if you are working.

At other times you may be able to sample a cheese or ham roll other than that it is the usual crisps and nuts.

Only problem with the pub really is it's size. The single bar is very large and as a consequence it can look uninviting when there is less than about 30 people in there.

On the other hand if you want to sit undisturbed for a quiet chat, read of the papers over a pint or that private meeting this is just the place.
