The Boat Inn, Cromford

A great traditional pub. Enjoyed a nice drop of Black Sheep and a plate of beef stew - perfect on a cold day. Very busy on a Saturday lunchtime, including a band of Morris Dancers who seemd to be having a stiffener before the fray!

Three Horseshoes Inn, Bromyard

A really friendly pub with great food at very reasonable prices. Good beers and wine. They do a pie and pudding 2course pensioner lunch for 6 on Thursday, and fortunately the day we went was a Thursday! Publican and wife great talkers, and plenty of room in pub and garden. Will definitely go back.
One issue though is the pub is down country lanes and the geographically challenged might find it difficult to locate, but do persist because its a little gem.

The Three Crowns Inn, Ullingswick

Turned up to pub at 12.05 today for lunchtime, and told by young man that the publican was not there and there was no message as to where he was, so pub not operating. Pity as we went here a couple of years ago and had a great meal in a nice friendly atmosphere. May be there was an unforeseen problem. Needless to say after waiting a few minutes we went elsewhere.
