The Three Moles Inn, Selham

Wow! As friendly a pub as you will ever find with a range of beers over and above the standard of "guest ales" found in the rest of Sussex. This is a small pub for the beer drinkers and unashamedly so. Tucked away in the woods (but with a large car park) you can sit and properly relax and talk to people around you. Val behind the bar is one of the nicest people who have ever pulled a pint for me and my only regret is that I live in Croydon (one of many regrets that I live in Croydon actually). This place is well worth a visit and the Betty Stogs is just wonderful.

The King and Queen, Caterham

Although the public bar at the front is a bit narrow the people found around it are really nice folks. If you don't like being that sociable there is plenty of seating in the back rooms. The beer (London Pride and the rest of the Fullers catalogue) is usually well kept and on those rare occasions of poor quality there is no hesitation in correcting the problem. Friendly bar staff and managers just put the icing on the cake and make drinking there a real pleasure.

The Clifton Arms, Caterham

Although the surroundings are nice the landlady never got her money back from the charm school. The landlord used to keep a good cellar but is now semi retired and the quality has dropped noticeably. DON'T question the smell or look of the beer or you will be shouted at and barred. Very few "regulars" are left now which is a shame. Recently sold Planning application was filed with Tandridge Council, earlier in the year, for the demolition of these premises.
