The Spinnaker Hotel, Gourock

A family run hotel with 8 rooms overlooking the Firth of Clyde. Excellent food and a good range of beers including 2 or 3 real ales depending on the day. Supporters of the Morton soccer club meet regularly. As the smoking ban is in force from the end of March this place will be an even better place to visit.

The Borough Arms, Neath

A real ale drinkers paradise; 3 ales every night sometimes 4, as the ale finishes a new brew replaces it. Also the fizzy stuff for the faint hearted, Budvar on draught for the real lager drinker and an awesome cider for those that prefer. No food sold - yet. The reason that it's not mentioned; its tucked away in a back street and used to have a poor reputation. For the real ale afficianado, this is the place to go in Neath and its not far to roll back to the railway station
