Come on Geoff, what about your loyal band of smokers who still spend good money on their drinks but have to stand out in the freezing cold to have a smoke? Spend a little, love a lot - get some heaters, please.

What a pleasant change! Mark and his wife have transformed this pub from a tired dive into a thoroughly welcoming bar. Good choice of beer with a decently kept IPA. Very comfortable interior with good reasonably priced food and a decent smoking area where you're not made to feel like a leper. It's certainly good to have somewhere to go in Hythe village with no yobs.
