Rose and Crown, Huddersfield
This pub is in the village of THURSTONLAND near Huddersfield. In a wonderful setting of a tiny village perched in the hills above Holmfirth. The pub is popular with locals and real ale enthusiasts from further afield. Wednesday evening hosts the quiz at 9.30 followed by a card game, Friday is the very popular fish night, Saturdays often has a band on and Sundays serves Roast lunch through the day and there is a quiz at 8.30 pm. Food is very good and portions are generous. However the real gem at the heart of this pub is the fantastic range of 8 real ales, most changing each week but usually on is Brass Monkey Bitter and Bradfield Farmers Blonde.
