The Hope, Carshalton

Attended the mild festival last night as the pub received its award for being voted Sutton Camra Pub of the Year 2010.
A very friendly pub with smiling staff and amusing customers. The regulars here bought the lease from Punch Taverns recently so is in good hands. A must visit for all fans of real ale. Surely must be listed in the Good Beer Guide 2011 when it is published.

Woolly Sheep Inn, Skipton

Why is this pub not in the Good Beer Guide ? Visited it for the first time on Saturday afternoon. Its proximity to the open market meant the pub was very busy. Good service and the best pints of Ram Tam I have ever tasted.

Red Lion, Skipton

Visited The Red Lion last Saturday having journeyed up on a day trip from London. Had heard some good reports on this pub from Camra members and so decided to investigate. I was not disappointed. It is a Greene King pub and their beers do not excite me. However there were ales from Skinners,Salopian and Titanic on offer and they were in superb condition.
Being next to the market the pub was very busy so had to wait a little while to get served but it was worth the wait.
