The Hangleton Manor, Hangleton

Just been here for the first time, despite the fairly mixed reviews. We were entertaining my 84 year old mother-in-law and had quite liked the idea of visiting somewhere local. The bar staff (actually all the staff) were extremely friendly and very helpful (starting by letting the MIL sample the real ales to find the one she liked after she had ordered a pale ale on arrival :) ). There is a busy menu and it would cater for quite a few tastes. We found the food excellent and no mean portions. It's not going to win any michelin stars but fits nicely into the gastro pub/wheel barrow to get you home mould. I think the mother in law at least ate her own body weight in food. Would definitely recommend and envisage a return visit.
