The Bridge, Barnes

I would not call this a beer drinkers pub - as there was nothing on the beer list when I asked about it that was enticing but a relaxing pub eatery. The Sunday roast special was 4 courses and a glass of champagne for �20. The beef roast was perfectly cooked and the vegetables all fresh and tasty. The staff were friendly and could not do enough, even when the lady next to me knocked over a vase which spilt wine all over the 90% finished plate of food in front of me. They insisted on comping the desserts and coffees and even to replace the main (though not necessary) . Perhaps not the worlds best beer boozer but a good place for a Sunday, with a relaxing atmosphere , thoughtful staff and manager and I think very excellent pub food.
