Just about the only place around the Mold-Flint area where you're going to get a decent selection of real ales. It's a modern gastropub, so good (and pricey) food, comparative to more established local places. Beloved of theatre goers from neighbouring Clwyd Theatr Cymru, and workers from the (equally nearby) Flintshire County Council Offices. A classy place, pleasant to drink, eat and chat in, with a garden and a beautiful view over Mold for a summer's evening. Don't, however, expect anything except a gentrified place for local professionals.

Gold Cape, Mold
It's a Wetherspoons, and not a bad one at that. All the real ale you'd expect from this chain, modern interior, cheap and simple food from the ubiquitous Wetherspoons menu. A safe bet for the centre of Mold, and a good place to start a night out.
